This notice explains what Volans Voyages collects when you use this website or plan a trip with us, why we collect it, who sees it and how long we keep it.

Who we are

Volans Voyages (Pvt) Ltd, a company registered in Sri Lanka, decides how your personal data is used. For anything about your data, email hello@volansvoyages.com.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry through this website, we receive:

your travel dates, who is travelling and what you would like the trip to feel like
your name, your email address and, if you give them, your WhatsApp or phone number and how you would like us to reply
the resort you asked about and the page you started on
the tracking codes in the link, if you arrived from an advert or a campaign
your IP address, your browser type and the date and time of the enquiry
how long the form took to fill in, which helps us stop spam

We need your name and email address to reply. A phone number is needed only if you ask us to reply by WhatsApp or phone. If you enquire for others, including children, please make sure they are happy for you to share their details.

When you visit any page, our hosting provider logs your IP address, your browser and the pages you view.

When you email, call or message us on WhatsApp, we keep what you tell us. When you book, we also collect what we need to arrange the trip, such as the names of everyone travelling and their flight details.

If you tell us about your health, dietary needs, mobility or anything else sensitive, we use it only to plan your trip and share it only with those who need it, such as the resort.

How we use it

to reply to your enquiry and plan your trip, because you asked us to

to keep the records that tax and accounting law requires
to keep this website secure and free of spam

We do not send newsletters or marketing messages. We contact you only about your enquiry or your trip.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with:

Hostinger, which hosts this website and our email and keeps a copy of each enquiry
our customer management system, where we keep your enquiry and trip details
WhatsApp (Meta), if you message us there; our WhatsApp Business account is connected to our customer system
the resort, seaplane and transfer operators and insurers involved in your trip
airlines, when we book your flights

Where it is stored

We are registered in Sri Lanka, and the resorts and operators that arrange your trip are in the Maldives. Our providers may keep your data in other countries too.

How long we keep it

If an enquiry does not lead to a booking, we delete it after one year. If you book, we keep the trip records for as long as tax and accounting law requires.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies for visitors and uses no analytics or advertising trackers. Our hosting provider runs a security check that may set its own cookie. If we ever add analytics, we will ask your permission first and update this notice.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data or ask us to correct it, delete it or stop using it. You can also ask us to stop contacting you at any time. Email hello@volansvoyages.com and we will reply. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live.

Keeping it safe

This website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), so what you type into the enquiry form is protected on its way to us.

Changes to this notice

If we change this notice, we will update the date at the top of this page.
